A catch-all functionality that is activated for a given mailbox will permit you to receive email messages that are sent to email addresses that do not actually exist. To state it differently, if you disable an email address and someone still sends an email to it, or to any misspelled email address under the very same domain name, you will receive the message in the catch-all mailbox. Using this feature means that you will no longer miss an email for any reason, which could be essential in case you are running a business, for instance. Since you may begin receiving unsolicited bulk messages, you can use the catch-all option with anti-spam filters in order to get only legitimate email messages in your inbox. Only one single mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be set up for a catch-all mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Hosting

If you host a domain name on our cloud web hosting platform and you have a cloud hosting account, you’ll be able to enable the catch-all functionality for any mailbox that you set up under the domain name. The Email Manager section of the Hepsia hosting Control Panel comes with quite a lot of features, but it’s astonishingly user-friendly, so setting up a catch-all mailbox takes only one single mouse click. All the email addresses that you’ve created will be displayed in this section in alphabetical order and you’ll simply have to click the "Catch-all" button pertaining to the specific address. Our system will alert you if there is already another catch-all mailbox enabled for that domain or if the one that you’d like to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding enabled, so you can either turn off the latter feature or choose a different mailbox. Disabling the catch-all feature is just as simple and requires one more click on the same button.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

The catch-all functionality can be enabled without any effort in case you’ve got a semi-dedicated server plan with us. All the email addresses that you have created with the domains hosted in the semi-dedicated account will be listed in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia Control Panel and you’ll see a tiny button conveniently situated right next to each of them. With only a click, you can activate or deactivate the catch-all option for any mailbox of your preference provided that there isn't another mailbox under that same domain with the option already activated and there isn't activated email forwarding. Instead, you can right-click on an email address and activate this feature through the menu that will come into view. In case any of the requirements for setting up a catch-all mailbox is not fulfilled, our system will let you know, but will not replace or disable anything automatically.
